Michael Rathebe

Bitcoin educator, Trezor academy local organizer and SowetoBtc founder. Born and raised in the dusty streets of Soweto, one of the biggest townships in South Africa. Michael, founded SowetoBtc as a non-profit initiative to facilitate Bitcoin only education and mentorship program that aims to provide Bitcoin financial education to underprevilaged South African youth. His passion for Bitcoin only education, comes from an understanding that most of the current socio-economic challenges faced by underprevilaged South African communities, emanates from central banks mismanaged monetary policies that creates massive debt and currency devaluation, and Bitcoin plays a pivotal role in offering and alternative to the broken fiat system.
