Gift Bongani Thebe

Bongani is a Grade 10 learner at Indwe High School in Mossel Bay. He is 15 years old and joined The Surfer Kids in May 2019, initially participating in the daily surf program alongside all the other children, until October 2021. He then transitioned to attending classes at the Ekasi Center where he now plays a key role in maintaining the centre and assisting the teacher with technical support. His dedication to the community and his passion for learning are evident in his day-to-day contributions. In October 2023, Bongani completed The Bitcoin Standard, by Saifedean Ammous and he is currently studying Why Buy Bitcoin, by Andy Edstrom, under the mentorship of Jason Branscum. They meet regularly via Google Meet, where Jason helps Bongani deepen his understanding of Bitcoin and its broader implications.
